Debt Rescue Services

Debt Rescue is a specialist in debt review. This means that everything they do is focused on this one area of debt management and they're therefore highly specialised.

Being specialised, they’re able to hyper-focus on all areas of the process and ensure the highest rates of success. The entire process from application right through to applying to make your debt repayment plan an order of court, will flow smoothly

What is debt review?

Debt review was brought in by the National Credit Act as a means to help over-indebted South Africans to get some form of debt relief. The first step in the process is to apply for a debt review so that a debt counsellor can determine if it’s the right option for you.

Once it has been determined that you’re a good fit for debt counselling (because your debts exceed your income), the counsellor will review your debt and create a repayment plan to suit you.

Once this plan has been created all of your creditors are informed that you have been placed under debt review. This is also the part where your counsellor will negotiate your repayments with your creditors.

You will then only be responsible for making a single payment every month, a payment that you can actually afford. This leaves you with some extra money to cover your living expenses, thus providing some much-needed relief.

Finalisation of the debt review process

Once you’ve made all the repayments as per your plan you then reach the end of the process where you’ve repaid all your debt your name will be cleared. This means you will be able to once again apply for credit (which you cannot do while under debt review).

Is debt review safe?

Both the debt review company, in this case, Debt Rescue and the debt counsellor assisting you must be registered. This ensures that a high level of integrity and quality is maintained and that you know you can trust the company and the counsellor you’re dealing with.
