Secure your assets with DCGsa

The present situation in South Africa is difficult, and many people have been skipping payments as means to survive. Credit providers are legally authorised to take action with a view to repossessing your valuable goods if you’ve skipped payment.

If you’ve missed payments on your car or house, and you’re worried about them being repossessed, this is when you quickly need to apply for the free debt assessment offered by DCGsa.

Once you’ve been served with either a Letter of Demand or a Section 129, you need professional assistance to resolve your money troubles.

You need to do this before credit providers take legal action against you and move to the next step, which is repossessing your assets and serving you with a Summons.

Signs that you’re over-indebted

You’re regarded as being over-indebted when after paying your important expenses such as food, medical bills, rent, school fees etc. you can’t cover your debts.

Remember, you have the right to get help when you’re sinking deep in debt, speak up and seek professional advice. This is not the end of the road for you, there’s a way forward.

Signs that you’re highly indebted

  • When you start using your overdraft or credit card to pay your debts and buy goods and other essentials.
  • You’re a regular visitor at lending institutions as you need to pay your other debts.

  • You’re no longer able to pay your bills every month end.
  • You’ve been served with summons and letters from lawyers or creditors.
  • You’re contemplating going under administration.
  • Judgements have been granted against you.

According to the NCA, while you're under-debt review, creditors are not allowed to torment you. There are cases where there’s a delay in creditors being notified that you’ve been placed under debt review. If they do contact you, you should send any documents from your creditors to the DCGsa team to deal with.
